Cyclamen production at Nanticoke Greenhouses is a year-round operation. A new crop of 15,000 6" pots is planted every 3 weeks! We begin the process with quality plugs such as the ones in this picture. Pots are filled on a production line, then set out on the growing benches and watered in. The planters must be very careful not to plant the plugs too deep, as this will smother the corm, and the plant will stunt badly or not grow at all. |
